1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and 3 bedroom houses mean there’s a home for every size of household.
Erith Park is a development that has been designed to have the feel of a community. It has a variety of different properties, high standards of architecture and traditional street patterns with enhanced pedestrian links, including routes to local schools. Most of the homes have their own outdoor space in the form of a private garden or balcony.
The apartments are smart and modern as well as being energy efficient. They comply with Level 4 in the Code for Sustainable Homes and features include solar panels and energy efficient combi-boilers in the houses, and a communal heating system to serve the apartments.
Wouldn’t you like to live in a place where neighbours become friends and there’s a feeling that everyone is welcomed and included?
At Erith Park we are putting into place the elements that sow the seeds of a successful community. Decent, well designed homes that help create a sense of pride and belonging, built along traditionally planned streets that feel safe and homely. There’s outdoor space to meet in and enjoy: Erith Park has plenty of parkland and greenery, and there are several dedicated play areas.
Erith Park also has strong links to the wider community, through connections with local schools, colleges, places of work, training and enterprise, helping to bring opportunities and prosperity to those who live there. It’s a major enterprise, one of the largest in London, with £120 million being invested in it.

Large areas of the development are already green space, and we are introducing new ones. There are also dedicated play areas for kids of all ages. Throughout Erith Park, newly planted trees and shrubs soften the streetscene and add a sense of distinction to the different streets.
Just north of Erith Park is The Dell, a small woodland area that is being enhanced and transformed into an ecology hub for all to use and enjoy. We have also created a multi-use games area off-site at Erith Recreation Ground.
Danson Park is another popular outdoor resource, providing residents with over 180 acres of land and a large lake. It’s often the setting for community events like fireworks displays.
If you’re feeling really energetic, you can cycle all the way to North Greenwich and the O2 Arena along National Cycle Route 1, with most of the route running alongside the river Thames. Erith Yacht Club also makes good use of the water, offering affordable sailing to people of all ages and abilities.
There are great facilities for indoor sport and fitness at Erith Leisure Centre, which include a 90-station gym and full size swimming pool.
Erith is really experiencing a change for the better. Thanks to major regeneration initiatives, the whole area will soon have the facilities, housing and travel links it deserves. Erith Park is just one piece of the jigsaw.
The regeneration builds on existing strengths such as parks, riverfront and good road links while improving the essential services that contribute to quality of life.
Bexley College has moved to a brand new building located in Erith where there are better road networks and more pedestrian links. But perhaps the greatest uplift will come from Crossrail, whose eastern end will be at Abbey Wood station, which is being substantially upgraded in readiness. From 2018 there’ll be high speed rail services from there into central London, Canary Wharf and out to Heathrow Airport.
